I made this quilt top a few years ago at “Quilt Camp” from a pattern by Elizabeth Dackson of Don’t Call Me Betsy called Ferris Wheel. Her beautiful quilt had so many colors, I had a hard time wrapping my brain around it, so I simplified it to test the pattern out for myself. I made just 4 blocks which turned into a really cute baby quilt that I donated to a friend for the Jeffrey G. Hoeh Memorial Golf Outing. It finished at about 40″ x 40″.
What did I learn from this quilt? Number 1, it’s not good to take pictures under the florescent office lights. Number 2, I don’t like templates very much The pattern is super cute, but give me the dimensions to cut or a block to paper piece. Each quilt is a learning experience!
I’m still working on getting rid of my stash, slowly but surely and I’m linking up to Let’s Bee Social. Click the little bees for more quilting blogs!
