Ft. Thomas Group Session Recaps

March 2017 Session Recap

Another record-setting night last night at the Ft. Thomas Group session for the Ronald McDonald House Comfort Quilters! The ladies not only rose to the challenge from last month’s to make puppy blocks using Sew Fresh Quilts Dog Gone Cute pattern, but we also collected 40 quilts, 119 ouch buddies, and 6 pot holders! I apologize for my pictures but my arms were very tired pinning all these up to photograph!

Let’s start with quilts that were turned in from the kits, or altered from them:

We had a longarm quilter make some scrappy quilts:

Our super talented satellite group added some beautiful quilts that barely made it into the bags for RMH – they are so lovely!

We had a few I Spy quilts that the kids will surely enjoy!

Here are a few quilts that changed it up a bit. We had two super cute cat quilts, a panel, two strip quilts and a double disappearing nine patch also completed:

My sister completed the Ouch Buddies that were started by the cheerleaders that came in January – these things are hilarious. There were so many she had to stand a step stool and take the picture in panorama mode:

I know all the kids at the House will love these and the enjoy the quilts made by all of these talented and giving women.

Thanks to all the women who contributed to the group. I already started putting together one of the puppy quilts from the blocks collected last night. We will get 4 community quilts from all the blocks! They will be revealed next month.

Oh, by the way, we’ve already crushed our 200 quilt goal for this year. We have 2 months left and have collected 255 quilts! Well done all!  Check out the tally so far.
