Hello interweb! The Ft. Thomas Ronald McDonald House Comfort Quilters group had a big session last week. There were 36 quilts turned in, 6 stockings, 50 ouch buddies and 13 purses for the House. Well done ladies!
Let’s start off with the all the different quilts that came in with patterns using a variety of squares:
Here are some of the wonderful quilts that were made by using the disappearing 4 patch block:
Last month I brought in a new kit using an easy bento box pattern I saw online using 4 fat quarters and a 3.5″ border. These turned out super cute!
There were a variety of strips quilts turned in:
Some super cute panels:
And check these out:
We also had some early Christmas quilts turned in:
Here is a great quilt from one of our satellite quilter’s, Kathy.
And here is another quilt from the Fat Quarter baby book:
We made some Runaround Girl bags for the House:
And stockings:
Ok, that’s it! Luckily I’ve been getting help hanging all these up to take pictures or my arms would fall off So proud of this group and the work we are doing. Next month we will have our 3rd annual visit from the Newport Central Catholic High School cheerleaders to help us out. See you then!

Great quilts for a wonderful cause! You will make many children very happy. In Canada, to celebrate Canada’s 150th Birthday, quilters across the country made over 3000 quilts for Ronald McDonald houses. The goal was 1000…
