Even though it was storming outside, we had a quiet night at our quilt group. Just a handful of people came out, but as always, we still had fun and got to oohh & ahhh over some quilts and a fabric donation!
Heather, our orphan block adopter showed off her magic with some gorgeous hand-pieced blocks. She carefully washed and starched the heck out of these beauties so she was able to applique them and practice her free-motion quilting. I think it turned out darling. Such a creative quilter!
She turned in a sheep quilt as well that was super fun:
Our friend Kathy from our satellite group made these crazy sheep:
Ginny is still learning getting to know her new machine and bringing in all kinds of fun quilts:
I finally got around to making making some quilts with the Windham fabric samples we received. Just a simple wonky star with their cute library cat fabric and a star:
I also finally got around to using my Bumbleberry charm pack to make this sweet little quilt:
Here are a few others for a total of 12 quilts turned in this evening:
Off to bed I go to dream about more quilt ideas….and projects to start….

I enjoy reading your posts and seeing the work your group does. I have donated quilts and pillowcases to a Ronald McDonald, it’s such a great cause.
