Hello! We did it again. My little group had a great night and we were joined for the 3rd year in a row by the Newport Central Catholic Cheerleaders to lend a hand. What a fun an energetic night with everyone.

The NCC cheerleaders are now pros at making ouch buddies for the Ronald McDonald House. They crushed their ouch buddy number last year and made 181 and 5 stockings.

Thank you to these wonderful teens for helping out. We appreciate their hard work and helping spirit. They also donate 2 yards of fabric so we decided that next month, we’ll turn those into pillowcases. They pick out the cutest fabric and the kids at the House will love some fun pillows to brighten their room.

See all those stockings on that table? Most of those were made by Brenda who learned how to make one last month then went crazy and made 34!! Check out all these cute prints she used! Kids from all over the world that come to the House will enjoy these.

In October, the House also requested we make these adorable purses. Here are some  that were turned in by Brenda, in between all the quilts and stockings she made:

Ok, on to the quilts! I’m going to start with the 17 Christmas quilts that were turned in. I’m so impressed with all these beautiful quilts. These are going to make a lot of kids happy this season! This 10″ block with a 4 patch has quickly become a quilters favorite in our group. It’s a great way to show off larger prints and they whip up quickly:

That’s all for now. We have our Christmas party tomorrow at the House and I need to get my rest. I can’t wait to share all these great quilts, stockings, purses, and ouch buddies with the quilters and crafters that will attend the party tomorrow.
