Well, I’m almost done with the first applique quilt I started in January! I saw Lori Holt’s Bee in My Bonnet site right before she started a Quilt Along with her Bloom templates. Those groovy little flowers is all it took for me to play along.
I only made 9 blocks which was big enough for a Ronald McDonald House Comfort Quilt, about 40″ x 40″. I still need to bind it, but I’m pretty happy with it so far!
I typically don’t fussy cut, but this little scrap I found with lambs had to be in the center.
This fabric was donated to RMH and thought it completed this sweet little quilt perfectly.

This is adorable, Lori! Yours is the second Lori Holt quilt I’ve seen online this morning as I’m perusing my fave quilty blogs over coffee. The other one was Christmas themed with little mittens. Where do you find her patterns? Are they in books or packaged individually in quilt shops?

Thank you 🙂 I ordered her templates from her Etsy site – https://www.etsy.com/listing/257597751/bloom-sew-simple-shapes-applique and then you can just follow along with her pattern on her site.
