Ft. Thomas Group Session Recaps

February 2021 Session

Hello! Last month many of you braved the chilly weather to drop off the quilts and blankets you’ve made over the last several months. I so appreciate it, and the Ronald McDonald House Kentuckiana appreciates it too! We had 95 quilts/blankets for them!

On with the pictures, you don’t need my commentary 🙂 Since we didn’t get to ohhh & ahhh and see the quilt when they were dropped off, I will do the best I can with the organization. Don’t forget, you can click on a picture to see it closer.

Our simple square quilts:

Squares with a border:

Strips & squares:

Ten inch blocks with a four patch:

Charm pack quilts:

A couple bento boxes:

Fun variety of strippy quilts:

So many fun scrappy quilts!

Quilts using some orphan blocks:

These are made with panels:

These are whole fabric pieces in both flannel and cotton:

Some fun pieced quilts:

My pineapple quilts using up some of that donated yellow fabric we’ve seen for years 🙂 Thank you Heather!

Here are some super cute pieced kid friendly critter quilts:

Mom made another absolutely adorable painted animal quilt:

Here are some gorgeous collage quilts that our friend Kathy made:

And some applique ones:

Finally, we also had some fleece blankets donated with some very fun prints!

The weather is getting nicer, so if we need to continue with the parking lot sessions, then hopefully we will have nicer weather. I’m going to aim for an April session next. Stay tuned for a Doodle poll via email!

Thank you all for your continued efforts and welcome to the new people that joined our group!

Stay healthy & well.

~ Emily
