We started our 4th year with all sorts of excitement! The Director of Volunteers, Mike Weinberg, from the Cincinnati Ronald McDonald House visited us to give us an update on House activities and show us a new project for the families. Mom made cookies of course 🙂 We finally got to exchange our quilt blocks from a challenge months ago and dug through a bunch of fabric donations! On to the (blurry) pictures:
The Bento Box kit is still bringing in some great fun quilts that are super fast:
A few quilters got a jump on the May Curved Log Cabin challenge and already turned in their fun quilts:
Here are some simple yet beautiful quilts with simple blocks:
Some that added strips to them too:
The always popular I Spy quilt:
Mom quilted an adorable panel from Secret Life of Pets:
And I got to use up some fabric I scored on sale in Paducah:
Heather turned some orphan HST blocks into a sweet vintage looking quilt:
And I finally made a Bjorn Bear quilt using one of Elizabeth Hartman‘s patterns:
Next month our Curved Log Cabin challenge quilts are due! We had a good start to year 4 with 20 quilts turned in. I hope to see some of the giant gift bags throughout the year as well as new challenges to come!
